In 1946
Leonard Larsen Senior joins Algonquin Tool

Leonard Larsen Senior begins his career at Algonquin Tool, marking the start of the Larsen family’s involvement in the metal manufacturing industry.

In 1950
Algonquin Tool enters the Electronics world

Algonquin Tool starts manufacturing TV Tuners and Enclosures for companies such as Admiral Television, entering the rapidly growing electronics market.

In 1955
Electro-Metal Products Corporation is formed

Algonquin Tool becomes Electro-Metal Products Corporation to increase focus on the booming electronics industry.

Leonard Larsen Jr. joins the Electro-Metal Products in 1960s

In the 1970s
Diversification into new markets

As TV production slows, Electro Metal Products diversifies into new markets, fueling the company's continued growth.

In 1995
Electro Metal Products is sold

Electro Metal Products is sold, but the Larsen family legacy does not end.

In 1999
Larsen Manufacturing is founded

Dave and Denis Larsen, grandsons of Leonard Larsen Sr., establish Larsen Manufacturing in Mundelein, IL, continuing the family tradition of innovation and customer satisfaction.

In 2001
Expansion into El Paso, Texas

Larsen Manufacturing opens a second facility in El Paso, Texas, under co-President Denis Larsen, to meet the demand for quality metal stampings in the border region.

In 2009
Launch of the Metal Fabrication Division

Larsen introduces a full-service metal fabrication division, offering prototypes and high-volume precision metal products from a single source.

In 2011
Purchase of a new production facility

Larsen Manufacturing purchases a 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse within one mile of its original location, converting it into a cutting-edge metal stamping and fabrication facility.

In 2013
Introduction of the Specialty Fabrication Unit

Larsen adds a Specialty Fabrication unit to the Mundelein location to meet the demand for large assembly and complex fabrication projects.

In 2015
Addition of full-scale contract manufacturing

Larsen expands its service offering to include full-scale contract manufacturing and assembly to meet customer needs.

In 2018
Launch of the Powder Coat Paint Division

Larsen launches its Powder Coat Paint Division, housed in the Specialty building near its corporate headquarters in Mundelein, IL.

In 2022
Acquires Tella Tool & Mfg

Larsen acquires Tella Tool & Mfg, operating as Larsen Tella LLC
